Paint 1

This is my practice painting of the figure man that we took at photo of in class. I really wanted to focus on the upper half of the body, because its what i liked the most in the photo i had taken. One thing i need to do when finishing up this piece is to make the lighter parts stand out more and make them more vibrant. I also need to complete the background.

This is my current project i've been working on. The picture on the left is what i was going to do at first and i was going to do an actual face, but i changed my mind. The one on the right is what i'm attempting now. Instead of having the pearl where it's usually at which is the ear, i'm putting it front of the face. I need to work on the shading of the pearl earring. I took inspiration from Rene Magritte which was one of our reading of a paintings. The style of technique i was trying to achieve was Vincent Van Goughs painting of the guy on the straw hat. I still need to find a current artist.

This is my acrylic practice. The one thing I could've worked on is the blending of the actual flower. I like how the water turned out. I could've worked a little more on the background and add more definition to it. Same goes for the desk that the vase is siting on.

One hand which is on the right is going ti represent industrial and how it pollutes the world. The other hand on the left represents mother nature and its going to be very bright and colorful. the background is going to be like the Michealangelo painting of the hands background.

This is my practice. I have not been able to finish it yet. One thing that I could work on is the color blending in the the eye and making it look more realistic.

This is my water color practice. I think I should've used more pigment to make the colors stand out more. I could've also made the mountains look more realistic.
